Dr. Damien Finniss University of Sydney has conducted a review based on several studies - notably in the journal The Lancet - and came to the conclusion that the placebo effect is so powerful that it can be used like a real medicine. "Some responses to placebo are extremely large and can be equivalent to those of an active drug. It is as simple as believe, hope and trust in the physician, "he said in this regard. Although in the scientific world the placebo effect is not considered the same and there are still some resistance to it, dr. Finniss nevertheless considers it increasingly seen as a process that can offer hope and promise, thanks to research on the interaction of mind with the chemical processes of the brain.
